like the three drunk men

in the subway.

the man in the middle is dead.

the silhouette around the corner.

she is running from him.  she must always get away.

he is running to get her.  she must always get away.  she may have to kill him.

your face changes shape.  that is all.  it is not a second skin.  it is another skin.

still i envy the girl on the right.  that puzzling stage ahead.  funny.

the one on the left may be one of us.  she has that look.

i love the stage.  it is my world.  you can't walk out.  you are in the play.  my only solace.

that is why i have to run away to the mediterranean soon.  we have been daydreaming.

since i don't believe in god and magic, i must believe in life.  all of it.

of course you believe in life idiot!

the blimps here tell the future.

the fountain  pushes the ball into the air.

the blimps have signs that give away the plot.

the fountain let's the ball fall, then pushes it up it again.

somewhere in america.  1975

in the theater.  that's where i saw all of these things.

the girl who watched

her boyfriend slice

her legs off.

the castanet dancer thinking beyond mechanical birds.

a hand,

not looking quite,

like a hand.

the flicker of lights to foresee the illusion.

williams and arp may have something to say to me.

soon we will have to go back to the mediterranean.  soon i will have to go back.
